By creating an account or using FoodBuddy, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FoodBuddy. By using our services, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Account Registration

To use FoodBuddy, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Content

When you post reviews, photos, or other content on FoodBuddy, you:

• Retain ownership of your content.
• Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the app.
• Confirm that you have the right to post the content and it does not violate any third-party rights.
• Agree not to post false, misleading, defamatory, or illegal content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Post fake reviews or manipulate ratings.
• Harass, bully, or abuse other users.
• Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Scrape, copy, or collect user data without permission.
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts.

6. Restaurant and Dish Information

Restaurant and dish details are provided for informational purposes. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information is correct or up-to-date. Prices, menus, and availability may change without notice.

7. TasteGraph and Matching

Our taste similarity algorithm (TasteGraph) is based on your reviews and preferences. While we use sophisticated technology to find your "Food Soulmates," we cannot guarantee perfect matches or specific results.

8. Referral Program

Our referral program rewards users with points for inviting friends. Points have no monetary value and may only be used within the app as specified. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the referral program at any time.

9. Intellectual Property

The FoodBuddy app, including its design, logo, features, and algorithms, is owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

10. Third-Party Services

FoodBuddy integrates with third-party services including:

• Google Sign-In
• Apple Sign-In
• AWS (hosting and storage)
• Expo (push notifications)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

12. Disclaimers

FoodBuddy is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• All content is accurate, complete, or reliable.
• Any defects will be corrected.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FoodBuddy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or content.
• Decisions made based on app recommendations.
• Issues with third-party restaurants or services.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FoodBuddy, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of FoodBuddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
